  1. There is no doubt that cyber-bullying can be very harmful in an individual’s life.It is unbelievable how someones words can take someone’s life. I have personally seen harsh and insulting comments on platforms like Instagram and Facebook and how those words take people’s lives. A celebrity named Sulli was a victim of cyberbullying like this. After constant hateful comments, she could not take it anymore because those comments have not only attacked her but also her family also.
"Sulli's death shouldn't be reported as a suicide but murder," one fan tweeted, adding that the pop star "was attacked constantly through the internet" and "there's only so much a person can take.”
I agree with this statement that people who are cyberbullies are nothing but murders. I personally do not understand how these people sleep at night peacefully knowing that their words have killed someone. If they do not feel guilty even after that, they can not be called as humans.

    1. I totally agree with your point pavani, because making people feel pity about themselves and giving them them the idea that they are not enough for living while leading them into a suicidal mentality and eventually criticize them after they suicided as if they are the weakest existence in the world and even after death bullying their existence is a shameful act.

  2. Majority of teens (59%) experienced some form of cyberbullying is a fact that was found through a pew research done in 2018.They occur at high rates. It may include spreading false rumours, offensive messages, having images shared without the owner's consent, receiving images that someone did not ask for, physical threats and so on.A study found that cyberbullying young adults mainly occurs in instagram which is 42% whereas 37% in Facebook and 31% in Snapchat.Suicidal rates are high, that those who were bullied try to kill themselves. During the covid 19 situation,it raises up, as most of the people are connected with new technology, especially school children was targeted by bullies. If someone is cyberbullied,he/she have to talk it open with some close people around.People should be aware of this forms of harassments. Otherwise without knowing, you will be a victim of those people. Cyberbullying can cause mental and physical trauma. Those who fail to bear up the situation will end their lives for nonsense which is pathetic. Those bullies are the morally degraded people in the society and they never think what will happen to them if they experience such a thing.Especially in a country like Sri Lanka, people are not aware of cyberbullying and do not have strong laws to stop them. Thus, you have to be careful when you work with new technology and be on the safe side.
